Loft Conversions

Why consider converting your loft?

With very high house prices at the moment, moving is not the cheapest option to gain the extra living space you want and need in your home.

Converting your loft space could add an average of 30% to your property value yet typically it costs one third of moving to a house with an extra room and is definitely a less stressful option.

Over the years local authority planning requirements have changed and if you are considering converting your loft space its now much easier as many conversions can be done within your permitted allowance meaning you do not require planning permission. Loft Conversion Types

Roof Windows

Converting your existing loft space without changing the existing shape of your property.

Adding velux windows to create natural light and ventilation.

Dormer Conversion

An extension to your roof giving more headroom and greater loft space. Dormers can be placed on the rear, front or side of the property. Dormers can accommodate windows and French doors.

Mansard Conversion

This enables you to achieve maximum loft space. The conversion goes up to the apex of the roof space. Windows, French doors and velux windows can be inserted into the Mansard.

Hip to Gable Conversion

Extend your existing hip ended roof into a gable ended roof gives more headroom and greater loft space.

A rear dormer can also be erected to this type of conversion.
